Out of the Book and into the Script: Game of Thrones Abridged

See that stunning platinum-blond queen across the war? That’s the dragon queen Daenerys Targaryen. Stay away from her. And everyone she loves dies, or just gets taken away. But honestly, not all fans are happy with where the plot is taking Daenerys. The show is superb, but the liberties taken with Dany in Qarth, this week in particular, feel more needless than ever and damaging to who the character really is. She's a beauty, but she's got more, so don't forget to watch Game of Thrones Season 2 Episode 9: Blackwater online this coming May 27, 2012.
As for the northerners, those guys are having a hard time hanging onto their own heads, don’t they? Ser Rodrick is the latest to die on the chopping block, at the hand of the traitorous Theon Greyjoy, now fancying himself Lord Winterfell and self-proclaimed Prince of the Iron Islands.
Now Jon Snow here has finally met his real match when he gets face to face with a redhead wilding, gorgeous with freckles, Ygritte, who is also a warrior who is more than just prepared to meet her maker should the worst come to pass. And of course, she also values her life greatly ad isn’t at all afraid to make some moves on Jon in order to keep herself safe and warm. Well, for Jon, that’s bad news, because as a member of the Night’s Watch, he isn’t allowed to take a woman into his bed.
And all the way east in rich Qarth, Dany is still unsuccessful in recruiting the city’s leaders to her cause in order to sail to Westeros and claim the Iron throne. To put things bluntly, when the khaleesi returns to her quarters after she failed to secure a fleet, she stumbles upon the members of her khalasar, and her handmaiden, all dead, and her dragons, missing. Nothing of all this happens in the books, and many would have guessed that this one’s a dramatic new way to get Dany to the House of the Undying, where she’ll have a fair share of some really life-altering events. It’s still an unneeded departure, kills more of the characters in Danny’s story even if they survived in the books.
What say you, readers of "Ice and Fire": Are you as bothered by the new changes to Dany's story as I am, or are you not sweating it? Hit us up in the comments below and let us know! Keep yourselves posted and watch Game of Thrones Season 2 Episode 9 online!
